Penn State at Saint Joseph`s

PHILADELPHIA (Interstat) — Two undefeated teams will clash Sunday when the Penn State Lady Lions visit the Saint Joseph’s Hawks in a non-conference women’s basketball matchup at Hagan Arena.

Both teams enter the contest with 3-0 records. Penn State is coming off a 90-62 rout of Coppin State on Wednesday, powered by Kiyomi McMiller’s 21 points and nine rebounds. Shaelyn Steele and Gracie Merkle also provided significant contributions in the win. The Lady Lions’ offense has been potent, averaging 85 points through their first three games.

Saint Joseph’s remained unbeaten with a 70-65 victory over Cincinnati on Tuesday. Aleah Snead led the Hawks with 19 points, while Emily Knouse added 17 points and five rebounds. The Hawks have shown resilience, edging out Maine 63-62 in their season opener before their decisive win over West Chester.

The game features a contrast in early-season schedules. Penn State’s victories have come by an average margin of 24 points, while Saint Joseph’s has navigated a tighter path, including the one-point win on the road.

Following this contest, Penn State will travel to The Bahamas for a multi-team event, facing Princeton and San Diego State. Saint Joseph’s will hit the road for games at Columbia and Penn.
