Texas Christian at North Carolina State
RALEIGH, N.C. (Interstat) — The undefeated TCU Lady Frogs will face their toughest test of the young season when they visit the North Carolina State Wolfpack in a non-conference women’s basketball game Sunday at Lenovo Center.
TCU (3-0) enters the contest averaging 97.3 points per game after a dominant 122-39 victory over Tennessee State on Wednesday. The Lady Frogs’ high-powered offense is led by Maddie Scherr, who scored 22 points in the win, and Olivia Miles, who recorded a double-double with 17 points and 11 assists. Marta Suárez added 19 points and six rebounds.
North Carolina State (2-1) is coming off a 66-47 home win against Maine on Tuesday. The Wolfpack’s balanced attack features Zoe Brooks, who nearly had a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds, and Khamil Pierre, who posted a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds. Their lone loss was a narrow 69-68 defeat to Southern California on Nov. 9.
The game pits TCU’s explosive offense against a North Carolina State team that has shown resilience early. The Wolfpack will look to protect their home court and hand the Lady Frogs their first loss.
