CHARLESTON, S.C. (Interstat) — Grace Ezebilo recorded a dominant double-double with 13 points and 18 rebounds Friday afternoon to power the College of Charleston women’s basketball team to an 80-65 victory over Charleston Southern at TD Arena.

The Cougars improved to 2-0, while the Buccaneers fell to 0-2. Taryn Barbot added a game-high 22 points for College of Charleston, which took control with a strong second quarter and never relented. The Cougars capitalized on turnovers, scoring 21 points off them compared to just three for Charleston Southern. A crowd of 3,617 watched the crosstown matchup.
