BOSTON (Interstat) — The Northeastern women’s basketball team defeated Stony Brook 73-60 on Sunday at Matthews Arena, avenging a loss from earlier this month.

The Huskies, now 7-16, built a lead by halftime and pulled away with a 21-point third quarter. The Seawolves, who fell to 14-11, could not close the gap despite matching Northeastern in both points in the paint and points off turnovers with 28 and 22, respectively.

Northeastern improved to 7-16 overall, while Stony Brook dropped to 14-11. An announced crowd of 243 attended the game.
