NEWARK, N.J. (Interstat) — The Creighton women’s basketball team earned a 72-66 road victory over Seton Hall in a Big East Conference game Sunday at Prudential Center.

The Bluejays built an early lead with 21 first-quarter points and held a 45-39 advantage at halftime. Both teams struggled from the floor, with Creighton shooting 42.6% and Seton Hall just 32.3%. The Pirates kept pace by making 19 of 23 free throws and outrebounding Creighton offensively, 12-9. However, Creighton’s defense forced eight turnovers and limited Seton Hall to 5-for-25 shooting from three-point range to secure the win. Creighton improved to 10-12 overall, while Seton Hall fell to 15-7. Attendance was 1,213.
