Lehigh at Colgate

Preview: Lehigh Looks to Sweep Season Series at Struggling Colgate

HAMILTON, N.Y. (Interstat) — The Lehigh Mountain Hawks visit the Colgate Raiders in a Patriot League women’s basketball matchup on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2026, at Cotterell Court.

Lehigh (10-9 overall) enters looking to rebound from a midweek loss and solidify its position in the conference standings. The Mountain Hawks fell 64-55 to Army on Wednesday, snapping a three-game winning streak. They will rely heavily on guard Lily Fandre, who scored 21 points in that defeat and is averaging 21.4 points over her last seven games. Fandre torched Colgate for 21 points and seven rebounds in the teams’ first meeting this season.

Colgate (5-14) seeks to end a prolonged slump and avenge its Jan. 10 loss to Lehigh. The Raiders have lost seven consecutive games, most recently a 60-50 overtime defeat at Holy Cross on Wednesday. Guard Ella Meabon has been a bright spot, scoring 24 points in that contest and averaging 16.7 points during the seven-game skid.

The Raiders’ offense has consistently struggled, failing to reach 60 points in any game during their losing streak. Defense will be paramount against a Lehigh team that won the first meeting 64-45, holding Colgate to 30.2% shooting from the field.

Lehigh’s recent success has been built on a 5-2 stretch in January, with four of those wins coming by six points or fewer. Colgate, meanwhile, has suffered four single-digit losses during its current slide, including two in overtime, indicating an inability to close out tight games.

Saturday’s contest is the second of two regular-season meetings. Following this game, Lehigh hosts Loyola Maryland on Feb. 4, while Colgate travels to face Army on the same date.

Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m. EST at Cotterell Court.
