EVANSVILLE, Ind. (Interstat) — Chloe Gannon scored 21 points to propel Southern Indiana to a 73-57 victory over Eastern Illinois in an Ohio Valley Conference women’s basketball game Thursday night at the Physical Activities Center.

The Screaming Eagles (14-4) led 33-22 at halftime and maintained a double-digit advantage throughout the second half. Ali Saunders added 14 points and seven assists for Southern Indiana.

Sydney-James Desroches scored 14 points for the Panthers (3-17), who lost their second straight. Nyah Hardy added 12 points off the bench.

Southern Indiana shot efficiently from the field while Eastern Illinois struggled early, scoring only seven points in the opening quarter. An announced crowd of 971 attended.
