Portland State at Utah Tech

ST. GEORGE, Utah (Interstat) — The Utah Tech Trailblazers look to bounce back from their first loss of the season when they host the struggling Portland State Vikings in a non-conference women’s basketball game Saturday at Burns Arena.

Utah Tech (2-1) is coming off a 76-82 road loss to Weber State on Nov. 15, despite a 21-point, 11-rebound double-double from Kaylee Borden and 17 points from Maddie Warren. The Trailblazers opened the season with home wins over Northern Arizona (78-73) and Omaha (62-56).

Portland State (1-3) seeks to end a three-game skid after falling 55-65 at Air Force on Tuesday. Kirstine Munk and Hannah Chicken each scored 11 points in the loss. The Vikings’ lone win was an 89-52 victory over Division III Willamette on Nov. 11. They have since suffered double-digit road losses to Colorado and Hawaii.

The matchup pits Utah Tech’s early-season momentum against a Portland State team searching for consistency away from home. The Vikings will continue a challenging road stretch, while the Trailblazers aim to protect their home court before a trip to Arizona State on Nov. 25.

Tipoff is set for Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025.
