Sacred Heart at Northeastern
BOSTON (Interstat) — Two teams seeking to halt early-season slides will meet Saturday when the Sacred Heart Pioneers visit the Northeastern Huskies in a non-conference women’s basketball game.
Both teams enter Matthews Arena with 1-4 records. Sacred Heart is looking to rebound from a 77-44 road loss to Georgetown on Tuesday. Amelia Wood led the Pioneers in that contest with 14 points. Their lone victory this season came in a 74-64 win at Central Connecticut on Nov. 13.
Northeastern also arrives following a narrow defeat, falling 50-45 at Providence on Tuesday. Yirsy Quéliz paced the Huskies with 11 points, six rebounds and three assists. The Huskies’ single win was a 75-64 victory at Yale on Nov. 7.
The matchup pits Sacred Heart’s offense, which has been held under 45 points in three of its five games, against a Northeastern squad that has failed to reach 50 points in its last two outings. Both teams will be desperate to find a rhythm and secure a much-needed win before continuing their respective schedules next week.
Tipoff is set for Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025, at Northeastern’s Matthews Arena.
