Wofford at Charlotte
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (Interstat) — The Charlotte 49ers look to get back above .500 when they host the struggling Wofford Terriers in a non-conference women’s basketball game on Saturday at Halton Arena.
Charlotte (3-3) is coming off a dominant 66-41 win over Oakland on Sunday. Zoe Best led the way with 19 points and 8 rebounds, while Caitlin Staley anchored the defense with 7 rebounds and 4 blocks. The 49ers’ season has been marked by inconsistency, with a solid road win at UCF contrasted by lopsided losses to power-conference foes LSU and California.
Wofford (1-3) seeks to end a three-game skid after falling 77-50 at Appalachian State last Sunday. Queen Ikhiuwu was a bright spot in the loss, posting 16 points, 6 rebounds and 3 blocks. The Terriers’ lone victory was a season-opening 126-65 rout of Converse, but they have since struggled against Division I competition.
The game offers Charlotte an opportunity to build momentum before a tough upcoming stretch that includes a road game at Mississippi State. Wofford aims to find its footing before a string of five consecutive road games beginning next week.
Tipoff is set for Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025.
