Miami (Ohio) at Bellarmine
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Interstat) — The Miami (Ohio) Redhawks, coming off a dominant victory, will visit the Bellarmine Knights on Sunday in a nonconference women’s basketball game at Knights Hall.
Miami (3-1) enters the contest with momentum after routing Indiana-Southeast 94-40 on Thursday. Brooke Blumenfeld led the way with 16 points and seven rebounds, while Amber Scalia added 15 points and seven assists. The Redhawks’ only loss this season was a narrow 80-75 defeat at Oakland on Nov. 10.
Bellarmine (1-2) is looking to rebound from a 90-33 loss at Ohio State on the same night. Patricia Sherrill pulled down nine rebounds for the Knights in that contest. Their lone win was a 77-51 decision over Spalding to open the season.
The game continues a challenging early-season stretch for Bellarmine, which will play seven of its next eight games on the road following Sunday’s matchup. Miami will travel to Purdue next Sunday.
