BOONE, N.C. (Interstat) — Emma Smith recorded a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds Sunday to lead Appalachian State to a 77-50 women’s basketball victory over Wofford at Holmes Center. The Mountaineers improved to 3-1 overall, dominating inside with 36 points in the paint and scoring 17 points off turnovers. Queen Ikhiuwu scored 16 points for the Terriers, who fell to 1-3. Appalachian State had five players score in double figures.
