NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Interstat) — The Belmont Bruins will look to bounce back from a season-opening loss when they host the Brown Bears in a nonconference women’s basketball game Friday at Curb Events Center.

Belmont (0-1) opened its season with an 84-67 road loss to Oklahoma on Monday. The Bruins will play their home opener against a Brown team that has not yet played a game this season.

The Bears last took the court in March, defeating Yale 53-44 to conclude their previous campaign. Key returners for Brown include Jailyn Banks, who scored 16 points in that contest, and Sanaa Tripp, who added 13 points.

This game begins a challenging stretch for Belmont, which will face Tennessee, Ohio State and Kentucky within its next 10 games. Brown’s upcoming schedule includes a matchup with Holy Cross next Wednesday.

Tipoff is set for Friday, Nov. 7, 2025, in Nashville.
