Norfolk State at Iowa State
AMES, Iowa (Interstat) — The unbeaten Iowa State women’s basketball team looks to continue its dominant start when it hosts Norfolk State on Sunday at Hilton Coliseum.
The Cyclones (4-0) have won each of their first four games by at least 27 points, coming off a 97-50 rout of Valparaiso on Wednesday. Center Audi Crooks was spectacular in that victory, scoring 43 points and grabbing seven rebounds in just 19 minutes of play. Addy Brown added 18 points and seven rebounds, while Jada Williams dished out 10 assists.
Norfolk State (2-2) arrives in Ames following a difficult 83-32 road loss to Duke. The Spartans have shown a stark contrast in results, posting decisive wins over lower-level opponents but struggling significantly in road games against Power Five conference teams, including a previous 87-46 loss at Mississippi.
Ciara Bailey, who scored seven points against Duke, will be a key player for the Spartans as they seek an upset against one of the nation’s hottest teams.
The game tips off at 2 p.m. CST on Sunday. Iowa State travels to face in-state rival Drake next, while Norfolk State continues a challenging road stretch at Penn on Tuesday.
