Richmond at Texas
AUSTIN, Texas (Interstat) — Two teams coming off dominant season-opening victories will meet Friday night when the Richmond Spiders visit the No. [rank if applicable, omitted if not provided] Texas Longhorns in a nonconference women’s basketball matchup.
The game is scheduled for Nov. 7, 2025, at the Frank Erwin Center.
Both teams enter with 1-0 records. Richmond cruised past Mount Saint Mary’s 83-49 on Tuesday, powered by a standout performance from Maggie Doogan, who recorded 28 points and 13 rebounds. The Spiders’ offense was efficient, with Ally Sweeney and Ava Persichetti also contributing significantly.
Texas was even more explosive in its opener, routing Incarnate Word 123-51 on Monday. The Longhorns’ offense was a balanced attack, with Jordan Lee scoring 21 points and post players Breya Cunningham and Kyla Oldacre combining for 33 points and five blocks.
The contest presents a major early-season test for Richmond, which faces a significant step up in competition against a Texas program known for its athleticism and defensive pressure. For the Longhorns, it’s an opportunity to build momentum before a challenging schedule that includes upcoming games against UCLA and North Carolina.
Tipoff is set for Friday evening in Austin.
