Saint Bonaventure at Niagara

LEWISTON, N.Y. (Interstat) — The Saint Bonaventure Bonnies, coming off a dominant season-opening win, will travel to face the Niagara Purple Eagles in a non-conference women’s basketball game Friday at Gallagher Center.

Saint Bonaventure (1-0) opened its 2025-26 campaign with an 82-34 rout of Mansfield on Monday. Laycee Drake led the Bonnies with 16 points in just 13 minutes off the bench, while Kaylee Krysztof added 9 points and 5 rebounds. The Bonnies’ offense was efficient, shooting 50% from the field in the victory.

Niagara will be playing its first game of the regular season. The Purple Eagles’ most recent result was a 67-65 victory over Rider on March 8, 2025, to conclude their previous season.

The game marks the start of a challenging early schedule for Niagara, which includes upcoming road games against Power 5 opponents Virginia Tech and Ohio State. Saint Bonaventure will continue a season-opening road stretch with a game at Binghamton on Tuesday.

Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. Friday at the Gallagher Center in Sanborn.
