DAVIS, Calif. (Interstat) — Nya Epps scored 27 points to lead UC Davis to a 68-51 victory over Cal State Northridge in a women’s basketball game Thursday night at The Pavilion.

The Aggies (15-6, 6-2 Big West) never trailed, building a 38-18 halftime lead and withstanding a late push. The Matadors (6-13, 2-6) shot just 30.2% from the floor and were outscored 20-6 in the second quarter. Alondra Lizama and Saray White each scored 15 points for Northridge, which lost its fourth straight.

UC Davis, which also got 10 points each from Megan Norris and Ryann Bennett, swept the season series after a Jan. 1 win. An announced crowd of 537 watched the Aggies outshoot the Matadors and force 16 turnovers.
