DAVIS, Calif. (Interstat) — The UC Davis women’s basketball team used a dominant third quarter to pull away from Cal Poly in an 87-61 victory Saturday at The Pavilion.

The Aggies, now 11-5, broke open a 39-22 halftime lead by outscoring the Mustangs 30-24 in the third period. Nya Epps led UC Davis with 17 points, while Megan Norris added 15. Charish Thompson scored a game-high 18 points for Cal Poly, which fell to 3-13.

UC Davis capitalized on 21 Cal Poly turnovers, converting them into 28 points. The Aggies also shot 28 for 31 from the free-throw line. The Mustangs struggled from the line, making just 13 of 28 attempts.
