Texas-Arlington at Lamar
BEAUMONT, Texas (Interstat) — Two teams seeking to build momentum will meet Sunday when the Texas-Arlington Mavericks visit the Lamar Lady Cardinals in a non-conference women’s basketball game at the Montagne Center.
Texas-Arlington (1-2) is coming off its first win of the season, a dominant 64-44 victory over Wyoming on Tuesday. Kira Reynolds led the way with a double-double, scoring 14 points and grabbing 13 rebounds to go with five blocks. The Mavericks opened the season with a road loss to Houston before falling at home to Missouri State.
Lamar (0-3) is still in search of its first win after a 65-54 loss at Kansas on Wednesday. Shaila Forman came off the bench to score a team-high 13 points for the Lady Cardinals, who have faced a tough early schedule with road games at Kansas State and Northern Colorado, the latter an overtime defeat.
The matchup will feature Texas-Arlington’s defense, which held Wyoming to 44 points, against a Lamar squad looking to find its offensive rhythm at home.
Tipoff is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 16, 2025.
