(Interstat) — The Lincoln Memorial Railsplitters used a dominant second quarter to pull away from the Newberry Wolves and secure a 68-48 victory in a South Atlantic Conference women’s basketball game Saturday at Tex Turner Arena. The game, played before a crowd of 1,137, was never in serious doubt for the conference-leading Railsplitters, who improved to 24-3 overall. Newberry fell to 13-15.
