Texans Edge Colts in High-Scoring Finale

HOUSTON (Interstat) — Ka’imi Fairbairn kicked a 43-yard field goal with 12 seconds remaining to lift the Houston Texans to a 38-30 victory over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday at NRG Stadium.

The Texans, who finished the regular season 12-5, erased a 10-point first-quarter deficit with 17 second-quarter points. Fairbairn was perfect on six field goal attempts, including the game-winner. The Colts, who ended 8-9, were led by receiver Alec Pierce with 132 yards and two touchdowns on four catches.

Indianapolis led 30-26 entering the fourth quarter, but Houston scored the final 12 points. A last-play lateral sequence by the Colts resulted in a safety as time expired, producing the final margin.
