Lawrence Leads Jaguars to Commanding Win Over Colts

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (Interstat) — Trevor Lawrence threw two touchdown passes and the Jacksonville Jaguars built a big early lead to defeat the Indianapolis Colts 36-19 on Sunday at EverBank Stadium.

The Jaguars scored touchdowns on their first three possessions, taking a 28-10 halftime lead before a crowd of 60,067. Lawrence completed 17 of 30 passes for 244 yards, connecting with Tim Patrick and Juwan Meyers for scores. The Jacksonville defense forced two interceptions and held the Colts to field goals on multiple red-zone trips.

Indianapolis quarterback Riley Leonard threw for 145 yards and a late rushing touchdown, but a potential fourth-quarter scoring pass to Alec Pierce was overturned by replay. The loss drops the Colts to 8-5, while the Jaguars improve to 9-4 and strengthen their AFC South standing.
