Broncos Edge Chiefs on Last-Second Field Goal
DENVER (Interstat) — Wil Lutz kicked a 35-yard field goal as time expired, lifting the Denver Broncos to a 22-19 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park. Lutz was perfect on five field goal attempts. The Broncos, now 9-2, mounted a final drive in the closing minutes, keyed by a 32-yard completion from Bo Nix to Troy Franklin. Nix threw for 295 yards. Patrick Mahomes threw for 276 yards and a touchdown to Travis Kelce for the Chiefs, who fell to 5-5. A blocked extra point after Kelce’s fourth-quarter score proved critical for Kansas City.
