Kansas City at Denver

DENVER (Interstat) — A pivotal AFC West showdown is set for Sunday as the surging Denver Broncos, owners of the conference’s best record, host the Kansas City Chiefs at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.

The Broncos (8-2) enter the contest riding a five-game winning streak, most recently edging the Las Vegas Raiders 10-7 on Nov. 6. Quarterback Bo Nix leads an efficient offense, while a defense featuring playmakers like defensive end Eyioma Uwazurike has been consistently stout.

They will face a Chiefs squad (5-4) looking to rebound from a 28-21 loss at Buffalo on Nov. 2. Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes will aim to rediscover the form that powered a three-game winning streak prior to the Buffalo defeat. The Chiefs’ offense has shown explosiveness but has been inconsistent.

According to Interstat, the Broncos are projected to win 30-23. Oddsmakers have installed Denver as a 3.5-point favorite, with the over/under set at 44.5 points.

The result will have significant implications in the division race, with a rematch between the two teams scheduled for Christmas Day in Kansas City.
