Tampa Bay at Buffalo

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (Interstat) — A pivotal interconference matchup between two 6-3 teams unfolds Sunday when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers visit the Buffalo Bills at Highmark Stadium.

Both teams are looking to rebound from losses in their previous outings. The Buccaneers fell 28-23 to New England last Sunday despite a three-touchdown performance from quarterback Baker Mayfield. The Bills were handled 30-13 by the Miami Dolphins, a game in which Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen threw for 306 yards and two touchdowns.

The contest features a clash of strengths. Tampa Bay’s defense, which held New Orleans to three points in a Week 8 win, will be tested by Allen’s dual-threat capabilities. Buffalo’s defense, which surrendered 30 points to Miami, must contain a resurgent Mayfield and a Buccaneers offense that put up 30 points against San Francisco in October.

Despite the identical records, the Buccaneers enter the game as 5.5-point underdogs. The over/under is set at 46.5 points. Interstat’s game simulator projects a 31-20 victory for the Bills.

This game carries significant weight in the playoff picture for both conferences. The Buccaneers continue a tough stretch on the road, while the Bills look to defend their home field before a short-week trip to Houston.
