N.Y. Giants at Chicago
CHICAGO (Interstat) — The struggling New York Giants, coming off a fifth straight loss, face a stiff road test against the surging Chicago Bears at Soldier Field on Sunday.
The Giants (2-7) are looking to stop a skid that continued with a 34-24 home loss to the San Francisco 49ers last week. Despite the defeat, quarterback Jaxson Dart provided a spark, accounting for three touchdowns and 247 yards of total offense. New York’s season has been defined by narrow defeats, with four of their seven losses coming by a single score.
Chicago (5-3), meanwhile, is riding high after a 47-42 shootout victory in Cincinnati. Quarterback Caleb Williams was dynamic in the win, throwing for three touchdowns and adding another on the ground. The Bears have won four of their last five games, with their only blemish a 30-16 loss at Baltimore two weeks ago.
According to a Interstat game simulator, the Bears are projected to win 27-18. Despite this, the Giants have been installed as 4.5-point underdogs. The over/under is set at 46.5.
The game will feature a matchup between two of the league’s young, mobile quarterbacks in Dart and Williams. The Giants’ defense, led by linebacker Zaire Barnes and tackle Dexter Lawrence II, will be tasked with containing Chicago’s multifaceted offense.
