Tennessee at Indianapolis
INDIANAPOLIS (Interstat) — The Indianapolis Colts, led by a sharp Daniel Jones and a dominant second-half performance, decisively defeated the Tennessee Titans 38-14 in a National Football League matchup on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at Lucas Oil Stadium.
A crowd of 65,816 watched as the Colts improved their record to 7-1, solidifying their position as one of the league’s top teams, while the Titans fell to a dismal 1-7 on the season. The game was a rematch of a Week 3 contest, also won by Indianapolis 41-20.
The first half was a competitive affair. Indianapolis opened the scoring with a 43-yard field goal from Michael Badgley on their first drive. The Titans responded in the second quarter with a methodical drive capped by a 1-yard touchdown pass from Cam Ward to tight end Gunnar Helm, tying the game at 10.
The Colts quickly reclaimed the lead. Quarterback Daniel Jones engineered a 75-yard drive, finishing it with a 21-yard touchdown strike to Michael Pittman Jr. to put Indianapolis up 17-10, a score that held until halftime. The Titans had a chance to cut the deficit just before the break, but a 58-yard field goal attempt by Joey Slye sailed wide right.
Any hope for a Tennessee comeback was extinguished in a explosive third quarter. On the Colts’ first offensive play of the second half, running back Jonathan Taylor broke free for an 80-yard touchdown run, immediately demoralizing the Titans and extending the lead to 24-10.
Indianapolis continued its onslaught on its next possession. Jones efficiently moved the offense downfield, culminating in a 10-yard touchdown pass to Josh Downs, pushing the advantage to 31-10 and effectively putting the game out of reach.
The Colts’ defense, which had been applying pressure throughout, completely stifled the Titans in the third quarter. The unit recorded multiple sacks, with DeForest Buckner, Neville Gallimore, and Adetomiwa Adebawore each bringing down Ward.
Jones put an exclamation point on his day early in the fourth quarter, connecting with Jonathan Taylor on a 19-yard scoring pass for his third touchdown throw of the game. The Titans managed a late consolation score on a 3-yard run by Tyjae Spears with 2:36 remaining, but the outcome was long decided.
Jones, the Charlotte, North Carolina, native, was the catalyst for the Colts’ offense, completing 21 of 29 passes for 272 yards and three touchdowns without an interception. His primary target was Michael Pittman Jr., who caught eight passes for 95 yards and a score. Jonathan Taylor was a force on the ground, amassing significant yardage, including his game-breaking 80-yard sprint, and adding a receiving touchdown.
For the Titans, quarterback Cam Ward from West Columbia, Texas, struggled against the relentless Indianapolis pass rush. He completed 22 of 38 attempts for 259 yards, one touchdown, and one critical fourth-quarter interception by Colts cornerback Chris Lammons in the end zone. Ward was also sacked multiple times. Wide receiver Chimere Dike was a bright spot, hauling in seven receptions for 93 yards and contributing 175 kick return yards.
The Colts’ defense was a collective effort, with linebacker Germaine Pratt leading the way with eight tackles. The secondary, featuring Kenny Moore II, Cam Bynum, and Austin Ajiake, was active in support, combining for 15 tackles.
The victory keeps Indianapolis atop the AFC South as they prepare for a road test against the Pittsburgh Steelers next Sunday. The Titans, mired in a difficult season, will look to regroup when they host the Los Angeles Chargers.
