Indianapolis at L.A. Chargers
INGLEWOOD, Calif. (Interstat) — Two of the AFC’s hottest teams will clash Sunday when the Indianapolis Colts visit the Los Angeles Chargers at SoFi Stadium.
The Colts (5-1), coming off a 31-27 victory over Arizona, have won four straight and sit atop the AFC South. Quarterback Daniel Jones is coming off a strong performance where he threw for two touchdowns and ran for another.
The Chargers (4-2) are riding a wave of momentum after a 29-27 road win against Miami. Quarterback Justin Herbert leads an offense that has been efficient, while the defense, featuring playmakers like safety Tony Jefferson and linebacker Tuli Tuipulotu, has shown a knack for creating turnovers.
Despite the Colts’ superior record, the Chargers are narrow 1.5-point favorites according to FanDuel Sportsbook. The game’s over/under is set at 48.5 points. A projection from Interstat gives the Chargers a 32-24 edge.
This matchup is a critical midseason test for both clubs as they jockey for playoff positioning in a competitive conference. The Colts’ only loss came against the Los Angeles Rams, while the Chargers’ two defeats were at home to Washington and on the road to the New York Giants.
