San Francisco at L.A. Rams

INGLEWOOD, Calif. (Interstat) — A pivotal NFC West showdown is set for Thursday night as the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams, tied atop the division with identical 3-1 records, clash at SoFi Stadium.

Both teams are looking to rebound from contrasting performances in Week 4. The 49ers are coming off a 26-21 home loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, a game in which quarterback Brock Purdy threw for 309 yards and two touchdowns but the defense failed to secure a key stop. The Rams, meanwhile, are riding high after a 27-20 victory over the Indianapolis Colts, powered by a 375-yard, three-touchdown passing performance from veteran quarterback Matthew Stafford.

Despite the Rams’ home-field advantage and a projection from Interstat’s game simulator favoring Los Angeles 30-24, the 49ers have been installed as a 6.5-point favorite. The over/under is set at 47.5 points.

The game features a compelling quarterback duel between Purdy and Stafford, whose offenses will test two defenses seeking more consistent pressure. The 49ers’ defense, led by Bryce Huff and Mykel Williams, will aim to disrupt Stafford after a quiet two-tackle outing for each last week.

This matchup is the first of two between the division rivals this season, with a rematch scheduled for Nov. 9 in San Francisco. The winner will seize sole possession of first place in the NFC West.
