Atlanta Braves at Los Angeles Dodgers

LOS ANGELES (Interstat) — The Atlanta Braves and Los Angeles Dodgers meet Saturday at Dodger Stadium, with the Braves seeking a second straight win in this three-game series after a 1-0 victory Friday night.

First pitch is set for 7:10 p.m. PDT under cloudy skies with a temperature of 66 degrees.

The Braves (26-12) own the best record in the National League and will send right-hander Spencer Strider to the mound. Strider is making his season debut after beginning the year on the injured list; he is 0-0 with no other appearances to date. The Dodgers (23-14) counter with right-hander Roki Sasaki, who is 1-3 with a 4.50 ERA over his first six starts. Sasaki has struggled recently, allowing four earned runs in each of his past two outings.

Atlanta’s offense has been potent all season, averaging 5.9 runs per game. A key contributor out of the bullpen has been left-hander Martín Pérez, who has posted a 2.55 ERA over 24.2 innings across six appearances. Pérez threw 5.2 innings of two-run ball against Seattle on May 6 and has not allowed an earned run in three of his past four outings.

For Los Angeles, center fielder Andy Pages has been red-hot. He went 3 for 5 with three home runs and six RBIs in the Dodgers’ 12-2 rout of Houston on May 6, and he is batting .333 over his past 10 games. Pages also singled in all three of his at-bats the following day in a 2-1 loss to the Astros.

The Dodgers won the season series opener Friday despite managing just three hits off Atlanta’s pitching staff. Strider will look to build on that strong relief performance, while Sasaki aims to stabilize a rotation that has allowed five or more runs in three of its past four games.

Los Angeles enters as a minus-1.5 run favorite on the spread, according to Interstat’s projections, which give the Dodgers a 61.7 percent win probability. The over/under is set at 9.5 runs. However, Interstat’s game simulator predicts a 8-5 victory for Atlanta.

Following Saturday’s contest, the teams close the series Sunday afternoon. The Braves return home Tuesday to face the Chicago Cubs, while the Dodgers host the San Francisco Giants for a four-game set starting Monday.
