Baltimore Orioles at New York Yankees

NEW YORK (Interstat) — Max Fried takes the mound for the Baltimore Orioles on Sunday afternoon as they look to salvage the finale of a three-game series against the New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium, where the home team has dominated early in 2026.
First pitch is set for 1:05 p.m. with a forecast of 59 degrees and cloudy skies. The Yankees (22-11) have won two straight in the series, including a 9-4 victory Saturday and a 7-2 win Friday, outscoring Baltimore 16-6.
Fried (4-1, 3.12 ERA) has been the Orioles’ most reliable starter, but he will need run support against a Yankees lineup that features Cody Bellinger, who went 4-for-4 with two home runs and four RBIs on Saturday and is batting .500 (6-for-12) with five RBIs in his last three games. New York has not announced a starter for Sunday.
Baltimore (15-18) has lost four of its last five games. The bullpen, including left-hander Grant Wolfram, has been inconsistent. Wolfram threw a scoreless inning Saturday with two strikeouts, but he allowed three hits and two earned runs in a no-out appearance against Boston on April 26. Over his last 10 outings, Wolfram has a 2.84 ERA with 14 strikeouts in 11 innings.
Fried will look to quiet a Yankees lineup that ranks among the American League leaders in runs. New York has won seven of its last nine games, including series victories at Texas and Houston.
The Interstat’s game simulator projects a 7-5 Yankees win. New York is a -1.5 run favorite, with the over/under set at 8.5.
After Sunday, the teams meet again Monday at Yankee Stadium before Baltimore visits Miami for a four-game set. The Yankees host Texas next week, then travel to Milwaukee. The Orioles return home to face the Athletics, followed by a visit from New York on May 11-13.
