Grisham’s Walk-Off Walk Caps Yankees’ Rally to Stun Angels

NEW YORK (Interstat) — Trent Grisham launched two home runs, including a tying two-run shot in the ninth inning, and later scored the winning run on a wild pitch as the New York Yankees rallied past the Los Angeles Angels 11-10 on Monday night at Yankee Stadium.

The Angels built a 10-4 lead behind Mike Trout’s two homers and five RBIs. But Grisham’s three-run homer in the fifth and Aaron Judge’s two-run shot in the first fueled the Yankees’ comeback. After Grisham’s ninth-inning blast tied it, he scored from third on Jordan Romano’s wild pitch to end it.

Paul Blackburn earned the win in relief. Romano took the loss. Attendance was 35,789. The Yankees improved to 9-7. The Angels fell to 8-9.
