Philadelphia Phillies at Colorado Rockies

PHILADELPHIA (Interstat) — The Philadelphia Phillies will look to complete a series sweep when they face the Colorado Rockies in the finale of a three-game set Sunday afternoon at Coors Field.

First pitch is scheduled for 1:10 p.m. MDT under clear skies with temperatures near 59 degrees.

The Phillies (4-3) have taken the first two games of the series, including a 10-1 rout on Friday and a 1-0 victory on Saturday. Philadelphia has won three straight overall.

The Rockies (2-5) have lost five of their last six games and have struggled to generate offense, scoring one run over the first two games of this series.

Philadelphia’s probable pitcher is Tomoyuki Sugano (0-0), who will make his season debut. The Phillies also have Taijuan Walker (0-1) available.

Colorado will counter with right-hander Valente Bellozo (0-1, 1.50 ERA). Bellozo was sharp in a loss to the Phillies on Friday, allowing one run on one hit over six innings with seven strikeouts.

A player to watch for Philadelphia is Aaron Nola, who dominated the Rockies on Friday, allowing one run over 6 1/3 innings with nine strikeouts in the 10-1 win. Key hitters in that game included Brandon Marsh (three RBIs, home run) and Bryce Harper (two hits, home run).

According to Interstat’s game simulator, the projected final score is Phillies 6, Rockies 1. Philadelphia is a pregame favorite with a spread of -1.5. The over/under is 11.

Following the game, the Phillies will travel to San Francisco for a three-game series starting Monday. The Rockies will remain home to host the Houston Astros for three games beginning Monday.
