Minnesota Twins at Kansas City Royals
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Interstat) — The Kansas City Royals will look to continue their early momentum against a struggling Minnesota Twins club when the teams meet again Wednesday at Kauffman Stadium, with rain in the forecast.
The Royals (2-2) evened their record with a 3-1 victory over the Twins on Monday, the opener of this three-game series. Kansas City will send left-hander Noah Cameron to the mound for his first start of 2026. He will be opposed by Minnesota right-hander Joe Ryan (0-0).
Minnesota (1-3) has dropped three straight since a season-opening win, scoring just two total runs in its last two games. The Twins’ offense was stifled Monday by Royals starter Kris Bubic, who allowed one run on two hits over six innings. Bubic, a player to watch for Kansas City, will be available out of the bullpen.
A player to watch for Minnesota is Simeon Woods Richardson, who took the loss in Monday’s game despite a quality start, allowing two earned runs over five innings.
The Royals’ bullpen, which got a scoreless inning from John Schreiber on Monday, has been a strength early. Kyle Isbel provided the key hit in that game, a two-run homer.
The Twins’ upcoming schedule offers little respite, with a four-game series against Tampa Bay looming after Thursday’s series finale here.
According to Interstat’s game simulator, the projected final score is Royals 5, Twins 3. Despite this, Minnesota has been installed as a pregame favorite with a spread of -1.5. The over/under is set at 8 runs.
First pitch is scheduled for Wednesday, April 1, 2026, with temperatures around 70 degrees and rain expected.
