Colorado Rockies at Miami Marlins

MARLINS HOST ROCKIES IN GAME 2 OF OPENING SERIES

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (Interstat) — The Miami Marlins look to build on a season-opening victory when they host the Colorado Rockies on Saturday evening at loanDepot Park.

First pitch is scheduled for 6:10 p.m. EDT under cloudy skies with a game-time temperature near 79 degrees.

The Marlins (1-0) edged the Rockies (0-1) 2-1 on Friday afternoon in a tight pitchers’ duel to begin the 2026 campaign. Miami will aim for a series win behind its starting pitcher, while Colorado turns to right-hander Eury Pérez in search of its first win.

Pérez will make his season debut for the Rockies. He posted a record of wins and losses last season.

The Marlins are installed as clear favorites. According to Interstat’s ELO system, Miami has a 62.4% probability to win. The outlet’s game simulator projects a 6-0 Marlins victory. The pregame spread lists Miami at -1.5, with an over/under of 7.5 runs.

Following Saturday’s contest, the three-game series concludes Sunday before both clubs embark on road trips. The Rockies will travel to Toronto for a three-game set starting Monday, while the Marlins will remain home to host the Chicago White Sox beginning Monday.

Colorado’s 10-game road trip to start the season continues next week in Toronto before it returns to Denver to face Philadelphia on April 3. Miami will hit the road next weekend for a series against the New York Yankees.
