San Francisco Giants at Los Angeles Dodgers

LOS ANGELES (Interstat) — Shohei Ohtani hit his 52nd homer, a three-run shot in the fifth inning, and the Los Angeles Dodgers clinched a postseason berth by beating the San Francisco Giants 6-3 on Friday night in what was Clayton Kershaw’s regular-season home finale.

Kershaw, who announced his retirement Thursday, received a prolonged standing ovation from the sellout crowd of 53,037 at Dodger Stadium when he departed with one out in the fifth. He allowed two runs and four hits, striking out six and walking four, and did not factor in the decision.

Heliot Ramos led off the game with a homer and Wilmer Flores added an RBI single for the Giants. Edgardo Henriquez (2-1) earned the win in relief. Robbie Ray (11-8) took the loss, and Tanner Scott recorded his 22nd save.
