Los Angeles Angels at Colorado Rockies
DENVER (Interstat) — The Los Angeles Angels and Colorado Rockies, two teams long eliminated from postseason contention, open a three-game series at Coors Field on Friday night in a matchup of clubs mired in significant late-season slides.
The Angels (69-84) limp into Denver after being swept in a four-game set at Milwaukee, including a 5-2 loss on Thursday. Los Angeles has lost five straight and 10 of its last 13 games, a stretch marked by offensive struggles. The Angels have scored three or fewer runs in nine of those 13 games.
Colorado (41-112) returns home after dropping three of four to the Miami Marlins, including a 9-7 loss on Thursday. The Rockies have the worst record in the majors and have lost 10 of their last 12 games. First baseman Blaine Crim provided a bright spot in the last game, going 2-for-4 with two home runs.
Despite their recent form, the Angels are installed as road favorites. Interstat’s game simulator projects a 3-2 Angels victory, while its ELO rating system gives Los Angeles a 58.5% probability to win. The pregame spread is L.A. Angels -1.5 with an over/under of 12 runs.
The series continues through the weekend before both teams return home for their final homestands of the 2025 season. The Angels will host Kansas City and Houston, while the Rockies embark on a final West Coast road trip to Seattle and San Francisco.
