OMAHA, Neb. (Interstat) — The Buffalo Bisons and Omaha Storm Chasers continue their early-season series Wednesday at Werner Park, with both teams looking to establish momentum after split results to open the year.

First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m. CDT under cloudy skies with temperatures around 60 degrees.

The Bisons (1-1) took the series opener Tuesday, 4-1. They will turn to right-hander Ryan Bergert as their probable starter. Buffalo’s bullpen has been a strength, notably Devereaux Harrison, who delivered three strong innings of relief in Sunday’s 7-3 win over Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

The Storm Chasers (0-2), still seeking their first win, will counter with left-hander Josh Fleming. Omaha’s offense has shown flashes, led by infielder Josh Rojas. In the season opener at Louisville, Rojas went 2 for 4 with a home run and three RBIs.

Buffalo arrives after a doubleheader split on Sunday, while Omaha dropped both games of its opening series in Louisville.

Interstat’s game simulator projects a narrow 4-3 victory for the Bisons.

Following Wednesday’s contest, the series continues through Sunday in Papillion. Buffalo then returns home to host Syracuse, while Omaha hits the road for a series against the Iowa Cubs.
