BUFFALO, N.Y. (Interstat) — Max Schuemann’s 10th-inning double scored Oswaldo Cabrera to lift the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders over the Buffalo Bisons 5-4 in the first game of a doubleheader Sunday at Sahlen Field.

The RailRiders built a 3-1 lead, keyed by a two-run single from Jasson Domínguez, who finished 3 for 5 with two RBIs. Buffalo tied it 3-3 in the fifth on a two-run error.

Domínguez’s ninth-inning single gave Scranton/Wilkes-Barre a 4-3 lead, but Buffalo’s Brandon Valenzuela answered with an RBI single in the bottom half to force extras. Schuemann then delivered the decisive hit in the 10th.

Yovanny Cruz earned the win in relief. Jorge Alcala took the loss. Danny Watson secured the save. The game took 3 hours, 7 minutes.
