REDWOODS, Calif. (Interstat) — The Redwoods Corsairs defeated the Alameda Cougars 86-63 in a California Community College men’s basketball game Saturday. The Corsairs used a dominant second half, outscoring the Cougars 48-28 after leading 38-35 at halftime. Donte Henderson led Alameda with 18 points. The loss drops Alameda to 4-6 overall, while Redwoods improves to 9-5. Alameda struggled offensively with an 87.3 rating on 72 possessions, shooting 42.9 percent from the floor and committing 11 turnovers. The Corsairs’ efficient offense proved too much, securing the expected victory as heavy favorites.
