McCook vs Casper
TWIN FALLS, Idaho (Interstat) — The McCook Indians and Casper Thunderbirds will look to reverse recent fortunes when they meet in a men’s junior college basketball game Friday at the Battle of The Boot.
McCook (2-1) enters the contest looking to rebound from a high-scoring 111-101 loss to Eastern Florida State on Thursday. Despite the defeat, the Indians’ offense was potent, led by Nate Coley’s 26 points and five assists. Mo Diao added 19 points and nine rebounds, while Djibril Diawara scored 24 points.
The Thunderbirds (0-2) are also seeking their first win after a narrow 98-94 loss to North Idaho on Thursday. Parker Davis powered Casper with a double-double of 25 points and 10 rebounds, and Aaron Sievert contributed 16 points and five assists.
The neutral-site game in Idaho presents an opportunity for both teams to build momentum before returning to their respective home courts next Friday. McCook will host Fort Hays Tech, while Casper returns home to face Trinidad State.
