TWIN FALLS, Idaho (Interstat) — Two undefeated junior college men’s basketball teams will clash Thursday when the Eastern Florida State Titans face the McCook Indians in the Battle of The Boot.

The Titans (1-0) are coming off a high-scoring 97-80 road victory over Indian River State on Oct. 31. Their offense was powered by a trio of standout performers: Nate Coley scored 33 points with six rebounds and six assists, Djibril Diawara added 25 points, and Isayah Pankey contributed 12 points, seven rebounds and four assists.

McCook (2-0) has also started strong, averaging 87 points per game in its first two contests. The Indians are riding the momentum of a 98-80 home win against Laramie County on Nov. 1, which followed a 76-61 victory over Eastern Wyoming.

Thursday’s neutral-site game in Twin Falls pits Eastern Florida State’s potent offense against a McCook squad that has shown an ability to control games on both ends of the floor early in the season. The matchup will be a key early test for both teams before they return to their respective schedules.

This is the first of a 10-game slate for each team. Eastern Florida State will next host South Georgia State on Nov. 14, while McCook returns home to face Fort Hays Tech the same day.
