EAST LOS ANGELES (Interstat) — Terrence Hampton’s layup with two seconds remaining lifted East Los Angeles to a 76-75 men’s junior college basketball victory over Los Angeles Trade Tech on Wednesday.

The Huskies survived a late surge from the Beavers, who erased a 10-point deficit in the final minutes. Jordan Webster led all scorers with 25 points for Trade Tech, including a dunk and 3-pointer in the closing rally. Hampton finished with 17 points and 10 rebounds for East Los Angeles.

East LA dominated the glass 47-31 and shot 51% from the floor but committed 20 turnovers, keeping the Beavers close. Trade Tech shot just 36% but went 22 of 27 from the free-throw line. The Huskies improved to 13-8, while the Beavers fell to 11-12.
