Oxnard vs Santa Barbara

Preview: Oxnard Condors at Santa Barbara Vaqueros

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (Interstat) — The Santa Barbara City College Vaqueros will look to complete a regular-season sweep and solidify their position in the conference standings when they host the Oxnard College Condors in a California Community College Athletic Association men’s basketball game Wednesday night.

The Vaqueros (10-11) defeated the Condors (5-16) decisively, 88-64, in Oxnard on Jan. 10. Santa Barbara enters the rematch having lost four of its last five games, including a 70-67 overtime heartbreaker to Moorpark on Saturday. Jack Berry has been a consistent force for the Vaqueros, averaging a near double-double in recent weeks. He logged 43 minutes with 9 points and 12 rebounds in the overtime loss.

Oxnard, mired in a seven-game losing streak, will lean on high-scoring guard Carter Reid. Reid torched Santa Barbara for 27 points in the first meeting and is coming off a 22-point performance in a 78-71 loss to Allan Hancock on Saturday. Over his last three full games, Reid is averaging 21 points and 9.3 rebounds.

Despite their record, the Condors have shown offensive sparks, scoring 81 points in a loss to Ventura on Jan. 28. Tristan Carter added 18 points off the bench in the most recent loss.

Santa Barbara’s defense, which held Oxnard to 64 points last month, will aim to contain Reid and disrupt a Condors’ offense averaging 68.2 points per game during its skid. The Vaqueros average 72.4 points per game.

Tipoff is set for Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2026. Santa Barbara’s next game is at Ventura on Saturday. Oxnard’s next contest is at home against Cuesta on Feb. 11.
