(Interstat) — CUYAMACA 76, MIRACOSTA 57

The Cuyamaca Coyotes delivered a decisive 76-57 road victory over the MiraCosta Spartans in a California Community College men’s basketball game Wednesday night. Cuyamaca established a commanding early lead, outscoring MiraCosta 36-29 in the first quarter and 40-28 in the second to control the game throughout.

Despite a game-high 17 points and 18 rebounds from MiraCosta’s Logan Mason, the Spartans struggled offensively. They shot just 35 percent from the floor and managed only three assists against 15 turnovers. The win improved Cuyamaca’s season record to 9-12, while MiraCosta fell to 8-12. The result avenged a five-point loss to the Spartans in December.
