CUYAMACA, Calif. (Interstat) — The Cuyamaca Coyotes cruised to an 89-54 victory over the Imperial Valley Arabs in a California Community College men’s basketball game Wednesday night. Cuyamaca seized control with a 43-point first quarter and never looked back.

Jordan Garner led the Coyotes with 22 points and nine assists. Jordan Whitfield added 15 points. The Coyotes shot 46 percent from the floor and forced 20 steals. Imperial Valley, which remained winless on the season, scored 18 points in the opening period but could not keep pace. The teams will meet again Feb. 18 at Imperial Valley.
