(Interstat) — Southern Crescent defeated East Georgia State 63-60 in a men’s junior college basketball game Wednesday night.

The visiting Bobcats led 16-14 after a low-scoring first quarter, but the Tigers surged ahead by halftime. Southern Crescent maintained its narrow advantage through a closely contested second half to secure the victory.

The win improved Southern Crescent’s record to 2-18 this season. East Georgia State fell to 10-18. Austin Walker was a key performer for the Tigers. Chibueze Irojanma led the effort for the Bobcats.

Both teams play again Saturday, with Southern Crescent hosting Georgia Highlands and East Georgia State hosting Central Georgia.
