ALLENDALE, S.C. (Interstat) — USC Salkehatchie overwhelmed Denmark Tech 156-106 in a men’s junior college basketball game Wednesday night. The Indians erupted for 91 points in the second quarter alone to pull away decisively from the Panthers, who had trailed 65-52 after the first period.

Tyree Edwards led Denmark Tech with 18 points and six rebounds. Jordan Burgess added 14 points and five assists for the Panthers, who fell to 1-15. USC Salkehatchie improved its record to 11-7 with the victory, which far exceeded a national statistical projection of a tie. The Indians defeated the Panthers for the second time this season.
