South Georgia Tech vs Southern Crescent
SOUTHERN CRESCENT SEEKS ELUSIVE WIN AGAINST SOUTH GEORGIA TECH
GRIFFIN, Ga. (Interstat) — The Southern Crescent Tigers will look to snap a lengthy skid when they host the South Georgia Tech Jets in a men’s junior college basketball game on Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2026.
The Tigers (1-14) have lost five consecutive games since their only win of the season, an 81-68 victory over Andrew on Feb. 7. Their most recent outing was a 104-85 road loss to South Georgia State on Saturday, where guard Khaven Coachran erupted for 35 points and seven assists.
Coachran has been a consistent offensive bright spot, averaging 20.2 points over his last five games. His scoring prowess will be central to Southern Crescent’s hopes against a Jets team it lost to by 28 points just over a month ago.
South Georgia Tech (11-15) arrives with momentum from an 89-49 rout of Andrew on Saturday. The Jets have won three of their last five contests, with their success often tied to the interior dominance of forward Matt Mbole.
Mbole is averaging a double-double in recent weeks, including a 19-point, 19-rebound performance against Georgia Highlands on Jan. 28 and a 12-point, 13-rebound, 6-block effort in the win over Andrew. His defensive presence will challenge a Southern Crescent team allowing 89.1 points per game.
In the previous meeting on Jan. 21, South Georgia Tech cruised to an 86-58 home victory. The Jets have struggled on the road this season, however, which may offer an opening for the Tigers.
According to Interstat’s game simulator, this contest is a toss-up, projecting a 100-100 draw. For Southern Crescent, the game represents a critical chance to alter a difficult season’s narrative. For South Georgia Tech, it is an opportunity to solidify a winning record in region play and build momentum for the final stretch.
The Tigers host Central Georgia on Friday before the rematch with the Jets. South Georgia Tech’s next game is at home against Albany Tech on Saturday.
