Copiah-Lincoln vs Jones

BOBCATS HOST WOLVES IN KEY JUNIOR COLLEGE MEN’S BASKETBALL MATCHUP

ELLISVILLE, Miss. (Interstat) — The Jones College Bobcats, riding a high-powered offense, will host the Copiah-Lincoln Wolves in a men’s junior college basketball game on Monday, Feb. 16, 2026.

Jones (15-7) enters the contest with significant momentum following a 111-95 road victory over Northwest Mississippi on Thursday. In that win, the Bobcats showcased a balanced attack with three players scoring at least 16 points, led by Jay Tyler’s 23 points and Wesley Lindsey’s 16-point, 10-rebound double-double.

Lindsey, a key player to watch for the Bobcats, has been a consistent contributor. He posted 13 points in a win over Holmes on Jan. 29 and 10 points with six rebounds against East Mississippi on Jan. 27.

The visiting Wolves (9-7) are coming off a hard-fought 63-59 overtime win against Meridian on Thursday. Koie Williams led Copiah-Lincoln in that victory with 13 points, seven rebounds and four assists in 41 minutes of action. Caleb Crozier and Tyrell Bowles each added 12 points.

Williams is the focal point for the Wolves, having logged heavy minutes in recent contests. He dished out nine assists in a loss to Northeast Mississippi on Jan. 31 and scored 12 points with six rebounds in a win over Holmes on Jan. 20.

The Bobcats’ schedule shows a potent offense, having scored 87 points or more in five of their last seven games. However, they have shown vulnerability at home, including a 95-91 loss to Northeast Mississippi on Feb. 9 and a narrow 74-73 loss to Itawamba on Feb. 2.

Copiah-Lincoln has experienced mixed results, with its recent overtime win snapping a two-game skid that included losses to Pearl River and Northeast Mississippi. The Wolves will need to contain Jones’s scoring depth to pull off the road upset.

The game is scheduled for a 7 p.m. tipoff at the Bobcat Home Court. Following this contest, Jones will travel to face Pearl River on Thursday, Feb. 19, while Copiah-Lincoln will host Northwest Mississippi on Saturday, Feb. 21.
